Kanavu Startup Village celebrated Pongal with great enthusiasm, warmth, and togetherness. The celebration beautifully combined fun activities, inspiring moments, traditional rituals, and cultural expressions, making the day truly memorable.
Fun Games & Activities
The celebration began with a series of exciting and engaging games that brought joy and energy to everyone:
- Uri Adithal
- Tug of War
- Squid Game
- Lucky Corner
- Cup and Ball Game
Participants actively took part in the games, cheering each other and enjoying the festive spirit.

Chief Guest Address
After the games, we were honored to listen to an inspiring speech by our Chief Guest, Mr. Jegan, Founder of Achani Foundation, who joined us from the United States.
Mr. Jegan leads his life guided by the principles of Mahatma Gandhi and Swami Vivekananda, and his words motivated and touched everyone present.
He was accompanied by his family:
- Mrs. Subha, his wife, a dedicated teacher for mentally challenged children in the US
- Ms. Nila, their daughter
Their presence added grace and meaning to the celebration.
Pooja and Cultural Dance
Following the chief guest’s speech, a traditional pooja was performed, creating a calm and positive atmosphere.
This was followed by dance performances, adding color, joy, and cultural vibrance to the event.
Prize Distribution
Prizes were then distributed to the winners of the games. The excitement and happiness on the winners’ faces reflected the true spirit of Pongal—celebrating effort, participation, and togetherness.
Delicious Dinner to Conclude the Celebration
After all the programs were completed, everyone enjoyed a delicious dinner together and then departed with joyful hearts and beautiful memories.
A Celebration Beyond Festivity
This Pongal celebration was not just about games and food, but about culture, values, inspiration, and community bonding. At Kanavu Startup Village, we believe in celebrating traditions while nurturing unity and positive change.
Happy Pongal from Kanavu Startup Village! 🌾✨
